I so love your advice about home cooking and customizing to personal taste. So so so true. No recipe is perfect for every home or set of tastebuds! I add lemon zest, then juice the lemons. It lends a 2 tier taste of lemon to go with the roasted garlic I use. MMmm. I love your recipe, but naan is mandatory for the best taste, mouth feel and satisfaction.

It's so wild how different tastebuds are and how this makes me realize I definitely have the tastebuds of an unrefined child. I would have the same reaction Nisha had with the Reese's to the dark chocolate of the Justin's. I agree the that plant-based Reese's doesn't taste like my memory of regular Reese's - the peanut butter is close-ish, but the chocolate is very different... the smell and taste is reminiscent of Kit-Kat chocolate instead (which I don't mind because I loved and miss Kit-Kats most). Overall I think the Oreos followed by Fritos would have won for me.

Good lineup of contenders. Missing some kind of dark chocolate covered almond or other nut. But I guess there aren’t any popular brands making those. More of a generic staple.

I didn’t know about the jerky, or that Reese’s makes a plant based peanut butter cup, thank you for letting me know about them, and more importantly, for saving me wasting money on the Reese’s. If I had been at the table with you I think I would have reached the same conclusions on all of them, in fact as soon as I saw the Late July chips I said “I think the chips will win.” Really fun video, I loved the chemistry between you both. I would enjoy seeing a repeat, but with just chocolate candies, or just chips, or just cookies, or just savory snacks like jerky, it’s really hard to compare across different snack categories, like chips vs chocolate.

I love crisps, a big weakness. A video on nibbles and making crisps would be great. I'm trying to stay off the processed store bought crisps. I've tried to make my own (even bought a microwave specially for it) but I have no joy.

I am absoutely obessed with the lemon chickpea soup! My new favorite soup! I know it's not vegan , but I'm not big on the flavor of nutritional yeast so I swapped it with parm and it was delicious. I love how robust and filling this soup is!
